I think that the general theme of this book is that every character will somehow go through a heroic journy of their own. I believe the author is giving us some details to each character that will show us how each one has changed or become a hero in some way. The question is how does each one of these characters tie into eachother? Or what will be each of the characters heroic journey?
Why when the girl got shot and needed an ambulence they wouldnt send one without a credit card number?
i think that this is just how their society works. This is their norm and it looks weird from our POV. I think it was rediculous how Hack went to the police that day to tell them he had to kill a couple of people and that this was part of his contract and the police were just like, why didnt you read it? I know that in our society the police would be all over this story and question Nike and why they were doing this. And because of the police not cheacking people died in the mall that day.
What will Hacks hero journey be?
I feel like Hack lets people walk all over him. Like when he had to sign the contract with Nike and wanted to read it closly but the John's kept talking about the money and were distracting him from the reading part of it. They also made the print really small so he couldnt read it. Also when Violet hurt John Nike she was like "Go get my hings packed" It was like Hack was being stepped all over by everyone and wasnt standing up for himself. I feel like Hacks heroic journey could be about him finally standing up for himself and admiting to his wrong doings and be a man.
Why would that guy attck Violet like that?
It was a strange part in the book i didnt really get why John would attack Violet like that because she had not done anything to John. i did enjoy the fact that she beat the crap out of him though :) I wonder if the other John had any idea that John Nike was planning on raping Violet and that was the plan to get Hack out of the house. Did they know that Hack was seeing Violet?
Why does Jennifer have a barcode tattoo on her face?
In the book it says that Jennifer got the tattoo of her face because she was a good at sales. But what i wanna know is why? Why did they have to put it on her face were everyone could see and was this forced or was it her own desition.

Call to Adventure- Buys call to adventure is when he is feeling good about his job and has a lot of money, but feels bad when he sees Haley crying because she couldn’t get a loan. Buy tried to do something good and help the girl out by giving her $5,000, but that later killed Haley. Buy now starts to feel as if he is responsible for Haley's death. Threshold-The threshold for Buy is when Buy loses his job and now is starting to go downhill with his life. With Buy already feeling bad about killing the girl losing his job on top of it makes Buy go into a depression. Buy gets a new job and now has to start tracking down John Nike. Abyss (death or rebirth) - Buys depression starts to get the best of him and Buy tries to commit suicide. Transformation- The transformation for Buy is after he tries to commit suicide he meets Jennifer Government and they start to have an affair. Return-The return for Buy is that when Jennifer leaves out of town and has Buy babysits Kate (Jennifer's daughter) Buy begins to feel like he has a purpose in the world and feels like a father. Buy now has a great bond with Kate and is the best thing that has happen to him
